Affectionately termed ‘The Party Garden’, this stunning Mt Cotton outdoor space demands attention. The garden draws inspiration from the contradiction between fire and water. The open fire, floating above a bed of resin-set blue glass, is the centrepiece of the garden in both form and function. Framing the area is a custom-made, aluminium composite screen, depicting the Shire from the Lord of the Rings, a polished concrete bench (that glows in the dark), Helidon sandstone feature gardens and edible planting. This project was featured in the Summer 2016 edition of Queensland Homes magazine and won the 2017 Landscape Queensland Construction Excellence award in the Residential Category.
